“Criminal Minds” Season 12 still has a lot to offer following Thomas Gibson’s exit. As per actress AJ Cook who gives life to the character of JJ on the show, “Criminal Minds” is set to see more interesting storylines, which may actually surprise fans.

Speaking to TV Line, Cook revealed that some well-loved characters of the series will face personal dilemmas that would apparently stir an uproar among fans. However, the actress did not give further details on who among the remaining cast will be involved in this shocking event.

Cook also spilled some spoilers about what would happen to her character in the upcoming episodes. She said that something will occur that would indirectly affect JJ and she is expected to have difficulty in handling the situation.

The storyline of “Criminal Minds” is progressing slowly from the sudden exit of Gibson’s character Aaron Hotchner. As it can be recalled, Hotch left in order to protect his son from the threats brought about by the villainous serial killer Mr. Scratch.

Though there are fans who are not happy about the departure of the former BAU Chief, the team behind the show seem to be moving on with some new storyline to get hooked into. A report by Mobile&Apps pointed out that Damon Gupton will be added to the cast whose character is said to have expertise in espionage. He will play as Agent Walker and he is expected to be a huge help in the future missions of the BAU team.

That said, there is still hope for “Criminal Minds” to regain its ratings following its apparent downfall, which is believed to be caused by the exit of fan favorite characters.
