Season 11 of CBS’ “Criminal Minds” took a short break as there was no new episode for the week. When it returns to the small screen, viewers will see the Behavioral Analysis Unit taking on an UnSub disguised as an FBI agent.

Titled “A Badge and a Gun,” the summary teased that the BAU will go to Los Angeles after they noticed in a security footage that the alleged suspect is wearing a badge similar to the FBI.

One of the promos showed JJ briefing the team about the UnSub, saying that the UnSub asks his victim to allow him inside their houses and thus, uses the aforementioned cover up.

Helping them track down the antagonist is Agent Natalie Colfax, played by Marisol Nichols who was introduced in one of the previous episodes. The LA-based agent will try to uncover the person who acts as if he is part of the law enforcement team. Carmine Giovinazzo also guest stars as Andrew Meeks, a former janitor.

Meanwhile, fans are advised to tune in the current season as former series regular Paget Brewster will once again joins the cast in future installment.

According to TV Line, Brewster’s character Emily Prentiss was a BAU team member who transferred to Interpol. She will be enlisted by her U.S.-based friends to investigate an elusive international killer, as they are convinced that his next victim will be on American soil.

Brewster wrapped her part in the show when season 7 ended but came back in season 9 during its 200th milestone episode. She has been courted summer last year to return and fill the spot for the absence of A.J. Cook who undergone maternity leave.

However, she is currently starring in Fox’s freshman comedy series “Grandfathered” along with John Stamos and though to reprise her role in “Criminal Minds,” there is a conflict in schedule. “It just didn’t work out, which was a shame. I really wanted to do it!” she previously told the news outlet.

Season 11’s episode 15 “A Badge and a Gun” is slated to air on Feb. 24.
