With a title of “Derek,” episode 16 of Season 11 of the American police procedural drama TV series “Criminal Minds” to be shown on CBS on March 2 will definitely focus on Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) team member Derek Morgan, played by Shemar Moore.
Apparently, Derek will revisit his past in a different way which is why the episode would be centered on him.
It could be recalled that during the final moments of episode 15, Derek was abducted by unknown suspects. Thus, the next episode will see the BAU team in a great effort to find Morgan and save his life, notes the Lawyer Herald.
The next episode of “Criminal Minds” will be a powerful episode for actor Shemar Moore. It is likely that flashback scenes will take place a lot as Morgan shall revisit his past in a rather unorthodox way. It is also the reason why veteran actor Danny Glover will also be shown as a guest star as he will take on the role of Derek’s father, Hank.
In episode 15, while the BAU team were working on a bizarre serial killer case, Savannah and Derek plan a ‘we need to talk’ dinner.
While Derek has apprehensions over the dinner since the BAU team is working on another case, he was actually hoping that he would hear some good news from Savannah, which viewers and critics presume that she could be pregnant.
It seems that it was also the thought that ran through Derek’s mind especially when she asked him to bring home ice cream.
When he asked if she was okay, she said she is and that she just needed to talk to him. But before he could get home and bring the ice cream to Savannah, he was attacked and abducted by some men. That’s when he told Savannah to call Agent Hotch right away because he is in serious trouble, details Cartermatt.
Taking down the Sandman
Incidentally, CBS has also released the synopsis of episode 17 of Season 11 of “Criminal Minds” to be aired on March 16, or two weeks from the airing of the show’s 16th episode.
Episode 17 of Season 11 marks another key milestone for “Criminal Minds” as it is actually the 250th episode of the show on CBS.
And to highlight the important milestone for the popular TV series, a two-part story regarding the UnSub named Sandman will be featured and the BAU team will be hot on his tail to take him down at all cost.
The Sandman is a killer who abducts children by sprinkling sand on their eyes when their parents are asleep. The episode is directed by actor Joe Mantegna, who plays David Rossi in the series.
Reports have it that episode 17 will end in a cliffhanger and that the next episode will be more brutal and amazing. The statement came no less from actor Matthew Gray Gubler, who plays Dr. Spencer Reid, as he will be directing episode 18 of “Criminal Minds.”
Back on episode 15, the BAU team headed to Los Angeles to deal with an UnSub, who JJ, played by A.J. Cook, eventually found out as someone who was actually being invited to the victims’ homes, which made it easier for him to commit the crime.
Interestingly, the other highlights of episode 15 of “Criminal Minds” are the guestings of former TV series mainstay Paget Brewster and FBI Agent Natalie Colfax, played by Marisol Nichols.
Brewster reprised her role as Agent Emily Prentiss and saw her reaching out to her friends after she vacated FBI’s BAU and decided to work for Interpol. In the episode, she is currently assigned in London.
