“Criminal Minds” season 11 episode 12 will feature a string of murders in Boston that may be connected to a ride-share service.

Based on the official synopsis for “Criminal Minds” season 11 episode 12 titled “Drive,” the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) will head to Boston to investigate a string of murders in which the victims are found in public places in Boston. The unit will try to find the killer by tracing the path of the victims before their deaths, according to the Lawyer Herald.

During the BAU’s initial investigation, they will find out that all the victims in the Boston killings used either a taxi or a ride-share service prior to the time of death. They will have to act fast and follow this trail before the murderer snags another victim, Christian Today reports.

Aisha Tyler, who plays Dr. Tara Lewis in “Criminal Minds” season 11, will appear in “Drive.” Her character might join the BAU’s investigation in Boston, the report details.

In the previous episode, BAU’s Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) went on a blind date with Ms. 45 (Aubrey Plaza) as part of a plan to capture the Dirty Dozen’s member. However, she revealed during the date that she knew all about the FBI’s entrapment plan and challenged Reid to a game of wits. While Ms. 45 threatened to blow up the place, Reid was able to outsmart her and they were able to arrest her and the rest of the Dirty Dozens.

Meanwhile, CBS is set to air a spin-off of the criminal investigation series on Mar. 2. The new show, called “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders,” will feature Gary Sinise as Jack Garrett, the unit chief. Daniel Henney will play profiler Matt Simmons, while Annie Funke will portray medical examiner Mae Jarvis. Alana de la Garza will also be part of the spin-off as cultural anthropologist Clara Seger, while Tyler James Williams will play tech analyst Russ “Monty” Montgomery.

“Criminal Minds” season 11 episode 12 titled “Drive” airs on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
