“Criminal Minds” has gone back to solving weekly cases after its shocking season 11 midseason premiere in which Aubrey Plaza’s Cat Adams played a dangerous cat-and-mouse game with Matthew Gray Gubler‘s Spencer Reid. We also got to know that Reid has a high risk of contracting Alzheimer’s during old age.
In the upcoming episode of “Criminal Minds” season 11, the BAU is going to investigate an Unsub who kills and leaves a trail of bodies in truck stop restrooms, according to episode 13’s synopsis on SpoilerTV.
Watch the trailer for “The Bond” below:
The case takes place along highways throughout the South of North America. As you can see from the promo above, Dr. Tara Lewis cracks an important aspect of the case: The Unsub is killing victims off a list.
Also, it becomes clear from the trailer that there are not one but two Unsubs. A mother-son duo are killing people, and it seems like the mother is encouraging her son to murder these victims. The preview of season 11, episode 13 almost gives us a “Psycho” Norman Bates-style vibe.
While the upcoming episode is going to be an engaging watch, we should look out for Cat Adams appearing in the forthcoming season 11 episodes. Aubrey Plaza told TVLine that her character will be seen again on the CBS series. She has unfinished business with her date Reid.
“I think you’re going to see Spencer visiting me in jail, Hannibal Lecter style,” Plaza revealed to the publication, “I can’t speak for the writers or the producers, but I told them that this is not over. These people are soul mates,” she said.
If not in season 11, will we see the devious Cat Adams in season 12?
“Criminal Minds” episode 13 airs on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
