“Criminal Minds” actor Matthew Gray Gubler seems to be having a wonderful vacation. Although fans of the CBS crime show are eagerly awaiting for Gubler to don his Spencer Reid persona, the 36-year-old star is enjoying his vacation. After all, the seasoned actor will soon be shooting for long hours soon.

Thanks to his Instagram and Twitter account, fans know that Gubler stayed in Clown Hotel in Nevada, Las Vegas. The hotel certainly appealed to his goofy nature. As the name suggests, the hotel is styled with pictures and pop-up figurines of clowns. It boasts of free Internet, affordable rates and permitting pets to stay with their owners.

Gubler visited Tonopah Cemetery which is directly next to the Clown Hotel. The star urges his fans to visit central Nevada if they love history, ghosts and clowns. The Spencer Reid portrayer is often known for his goofy, fun-loving, slightly eccentric nature. It’s what fans love about the “Criminal Minds” actor.

Then, on June 27, Gubler headed to Tokyo in Japan to continue his adventures. He visited a late night puppy store where he cuddled a cute furball. Gubler also visited Disneyland in Tokyo on the Fourth of July. He thanked America in his tweet.

The actor visited a zoo in Japan where he fed excited monkeys during his time in Tokyo. Interestingly, the “Criminal Minds” actor tweeted that someone in Japan asked him if he was James Franco’s sister! Gubler was wearing a teal kimono at that time.

“Criminal Minds” season 11 ended with several criminals escaping prison, including the notorious Mr. Scratch. The Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) will now have to track down each of these prisoners in season 12.

Although Shemar Moore has left the long-running crime procedural, “CSI: Miami” actor Adam Rodriguez has been added to the cast as his replacement.

“Criminal Minds” returns on Sept. 28 at 9 p.m. ET.
